⚫ Gomoku (freestyle)
🎯Goal: Be the first to get five of your stones in a row —
across, up and down, or on a diagonal.
👆Your move: You and the computer take turns putting one stone
on any empty point where two lines cross. Stones never move and are
never taken.
📱Placing a stone: On a phone or tablet, tap a point to see a
see-through stone there, then tap it again to place it — tap another
point to move it. When the points are small, a magnifier in the
corner shows the points around it bigger: tap one there to nudge the
stone. With a mouse, just click.
🖐️Five wins: Five or more in an unbroken row wins — six in a
row counts too. If the board fills up and nobody has five, it's a
draw.
⚫Who starts: Black always goes first. Whoever starts plays
black — choose who goes first in ⚙️ Settings.
🧠Tips: Three in a row with both ends open turns into an
unstoppable four, so block the computer's open threes early. The
dots under You and Computer show each side's longest row.
⌨️Keyboard: The arrow keys move around the board; Home and End
go to the ends of a row, Page Up and Page Down to the top and
bottom. Enter or Space places your stone, L jumps to the last move,
and Backspace undoes your last move.
⭐Stars: Beat the computer with no help for 3 stars. 💡 Hints,
↩️ Undo and ✨ Watch Demo each count as help: up to 2 helps earns 2
stars, more earns 1.
