How to play Neighbor Trek

Goal: Travel from the 🏁 start country to the 🎯 goal country in as few hops as you can.
How to play: Each hop takes you to a neighbor — a country that shares a land border with the one you're in. Tap a glowing country on the map, or its button under the map. A hop the wrong way is allowed; it just costs a hop.
Win: Reach the goal! The fewest hops with no hints earns three stars. One extra hop, or one or two hints, earns two. After Watch Solve, a trek is worth one star.

Did you know?

🧭 Finding the fewest hops is a "shortest path" puzzle. In 1959 Edward F. Moore described a way to find the shortest path out of a maze — breadth-first search — and this game uses the same idea to find every shortest trek!
